The Creative Writing department is proud to present Migration Stories, an ongoing project, which will launch with a first evening of readings around the theme of migration on Thursday, April 13. Novelist and Creative Writing faculty member Vu Tran will read with University of Chicago creative writing students, and there will be a special presentation on the current state of immigration law by Maria Woltjen, director of the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights.
Migration Stories hopes to open up a conversation and to generate fiction, essays, poems, oral histories, and other written accounts of the migration stories of members of our community.
