After a lengthy review process, the U.S. government recently approved changes in the F-1 OPT STEM extension program. These changes went into effect on May 10, 2016. Changes include an extended duration of the STEM extension period, wider STEM eligibility requirements, increased employer involvement, and additional reporting requirements.
