As many of you know, a powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit the Gorkha district and surrounding areas in Nepal on April 25, 2015. Hundreds of aftershocks followed, causing havoc across the country. As relief efforts were ongoing, another major earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 struck on May 12, 2015, creating further destruction. More than 8,000 people have died so far with thousands others injured and millions displaced. To honor those affected by the disaster and to support global communities involved in rebuilding Nepal, we would like to invite you to attend this special event. A part of the Divinity School’s Wednesday Lunch organized in support of those affected by earthquake in Nepal. Authentic Nepalese cuisine will be served. It will also feature live Himalayan music, improvised acting performance, and presentations on cultures of Nepal and reflections from faculty and community members. Donations are suggested, and all proceeds will go to relief efforts in Nepal.  RSVP to Sunil K Yadav
