In preparation for the SuperBowl, OIA is holding two events for all international community to learn the fundamentals and have fun! Join us for either or both of these events:
First, we will have a workshop presenting the Maroon football Assistant Coach Craig Knoche on the Fundamentals of American Football. Coach Knoche will explain the basics of the game as well as the strategy and objectives behind the sport.
The workshop will be held on Tuesday January 22, 12:30-1:30pm at the Ida Noyes Hall, Library. For catering purposes, we ask that you please RSVP for this event.
About Craig Knoche: he has been with the Maroons since 2009 and was named Assistant Coach serving as Offensive Coordinator in 2011. Coach Knoche brings several years of coaching experience to the team, performing under various coaching capacities since 2004. Coach Knoche was a three-year football letter winner at Illinois Wesleyan University, where he earned degrees in mathematics and Spanish in 2002.
The second event is a SuperBowl edition of International Coffee Hour held on January 30, 5-7pm at International House Coulter Lounge.
We will have football clips and music, food and drinks, football gear and a photo booth, and much more. One of the Maroon football team members will join us and will be there to explain everything you need to know about American football or the SuperBowl.
