International Coffee Hour is a monthly social gathering for the entire international community - students, scholars, and employees. International Coffee Hour is a great opportunity to make new friends from all around the world, catch up with old friends and have fun. The event also offers practical, cultural, and day-to-day information about living in Chicago. Coffee, tea, cookies and other treats are always provided!
In the academic year of 2014-2015, International Coffee Hour will be followed by a workshop series that will offer practical information for academic and cultural transitions. We will talk about cultural adjustment, academic integrity, how to obtain a social security number and driving license, housing information, and much more!
