About Kayla:
Kayla joined the Office of International Affairs in 2019. She served as the Front Desk Immigration Assistant for two years before moving on to become an International Student Adviser. Prior to her time at OIA, Kayla was a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in South Korea. She lived and worked in Daegu for three years but traveled much of the country. She deeply enjoys working with international populations and experiencing new languages and cultures. As an undergraduate, she double majored in English and Rhetoric with a minor in TESL and regularly volunteered with the international community at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
In her free time, Kayla likes exploring bookstores, playing with her cats and doing 1,000-piece puzzles.
