CDC Announces Negative COVID-19 Test Requirement from Air Passengers Entering the U.S. from the People’s Republic of China

On Wednesday, December 28, 2022, the U.S. CDC announced it would implement new COVID-19 testing requirements for air passengers coming from China, Hong Kong, and Macau. Effective at 12:01 AM (Eastern time), on Thursday, January 5, 2023, all travelers aged 2 or older are required to be tested no more than 2 days in advance of departure and show a negative test result to the operating airline regardless of nationality or vaccination status.
